we have done a lot of filming. Using our iPhones, passing iPhones around but then we had a bull who said he gave no fuck if we videoed so we did it with a spycam to make for a cool scene. We shared the final production with him but I edited a ton.
Our ideal camera would be able to livestream private channel, record to microSD, wide angle, good with low light, 2-3 hours battery. These fit that just not sure. Any experience.

I have tried several methods of video. If I am present, I generally use 1 or 2 go pros plus an iPhone. This can make for some interesting edited videos by using split screens etc. When she has gone solo we have tried using her phone but she doesn’t like the effort it takes to set it up at the right time and right place etc. The best solution that we have found is a home security camera and a mifi cell device. Re: ruining the act by taking photos/videos during the encounter... I think that must be where your particular dynamic comes into play. We have a stag/vixen dynamic and I am present.
